Here's what you need to know about custom imprinted vinyl binders:

We sell a tremendous number of silk screen imprinted vinyl binders. They are a great solution when you need to present a quality, professional image, require great durability, and budget is a factor.

Custom binders from SpeedBinder are not like the generic binders you find at office supply stores such as Staples or Office Depot. Custom printed vinyl binders are printed using silk screen process. It is important to note the strengths and limitations of this process when considering your binder design. We have expert graphic artists on staff who can help you with the process.

The first thing to keep in mind is that silk screen works best with line art. Things like shading, gradients, halftones (photographs) generally do not print very well. It can be done, but what we tell our customers is to think of how photographs appeared in newspapers 30 years ago (before the news guys installed modern, high-tech presses). That's what silk screen looks like.

You can add tremendous impact to your design by adding additional colors. One technique we use often is called a "varnish" print, as seen on this employee handbook from Pebble Beach. By printing with a clear varnish ink, we create a great look without incurring excessive additional costs. The other great thing about vinyl binders is all the color options that are available. Selecting an interesting color is a great way to make your binder stand out, and we have high-visibility colors available for safety applications as well.

Our vinyl binders are available in all the standard sizes, from 3/4" rings up to 3" rings. They come standard with front and back pockets. We can add additional features such as business card holders and CD holders as well.

Vinyl binders offer tremendous durability. The heavy-gauge vinyl we use is tough stuff. Do keep in mind, however, that vinyl is subject to cracking in extremely cold conditions. If you work in a cold-weather location, be sure to store your binders in a climate-controlled warehouse.
